We believe that people are not inherently cruel, but they are often ignorant about the amount of suffering that takes place in their name. It follows that, with access to enough information, attitudes towards non-human animals will change. Our priority is therefore to make this information more widely available. In particular, we need funds for the following (related) projects:
- To develop the animals.org web-site, so that it becomes a major on-line resource for campaigners and journalists. We would like to extend the text several times over, and add graphics and video clips.
- At some stage, we would like to produce TV films documenting animal abuse in different places around the world. Factory farms are the top priority, since this is an area which directly affects a large number of people. When Internet bandwidths increase, this project will merge with the first project, so that the documentaries can be seen on-demand through the Internet.
